Application for Llyndra

Hi, I would like to apply for your guild :) My characters name is Llyndra (lvl 29 HOX.) I'm afraid I don't know anyone from your guild, being as it is a new game and I've been mainly soloing up to this point. I played DAOC for 3 years, starting on alb/pellinor in the guild Los Whappos. Then after playing around on hib/galahad with my husband on my light menty, we went to mid/lamorak when classic servers started, and rolled with the pvp guilds Athenas Avatars and Key Strokers. Lately I've been in a raiding guild on WoW, and hoping to see the end game on AOC just as fun to that of old DAOC.
I'm a 25 yr old stay at home mom ( my son is 2 months now,) and between diapers and bottles, I like to do instances and pvp. There's just nothing really left for me on WoW besides raiding, so I'm hoping for find a fun bunch of people to connect and interact with.

** side note ** I married a sailor so nothing surprises me in guild chat =p

ahhhh, ok. When you said sailor i figured you either lived in CA or would be moving there shortly. Lots of navy people moving there now with that supreme court decision.

Cool. My dad was in the Coast Guard. After Vietnam he was stationed at Kenotia, WI, I'm guessing your in that area also. I now live in Madison. I'm sure Svoda will be along shortly to give you access. I would but I get yelled at for doing it wrong...

Off the topic question, is anyone else getting continual 15 GB updates? I'm on my third one, and I'm getting tired of waiting 8+ hours to patch the game every 3 days. I'm wondering if my files are corrupt and the game is somehow redownloading all its files every time.

nah my husband still MUDS and is happily killing on Carrions Fields. He's thought about trying AOC, but he uses Linux and he'd have to figure out how to get it to run.

just have him install VM wear then an instance of Windows to run within his Linux...pretty easy fix IMO to get him playing

I think your 15gig patch thing is a bug of some sort. Several people had this issue at launch...They installed the retail box and then tried to update and it was a constant 15 gig download, which is how big the game download was for the pre-play 3 day early thing.

if your not in yet, the best thing to do is hop in vent and ask if any officers or GMs are on. I think several of us are at work atm...Nolsy might be on, he's an Ausie
